Hello August!

With August upon us, we’re only one month away to September which is always a busy month for Apple with new Phones and updates to all the software - so keep an eye out for that next month.

Bit of a quiet month otherwise, so hopefully some more things will start to show.

And we’re starting to see the weather change also, which is always nice!

Ooops - Apple leak upcoming upgrades in code

In a slight “oops” moment, Apple leaked some upcoming products in some of its beta code.

The items we can expect to see over the next few months (or 12 months) should be as follows -

New HomePod mini with S-series processor,  New Apple TV with A17 Pro chip,  Apple Studio Display 2, New iPad mini with A19 Pro chip, New low cost iPad with 18 chip, Apple Vision Pro with M5 (or M4 chip), 2025 Apple Watch chip.

They’re also developing a Ring-like security camera with FaceID, iPad-style smart home hub, and a “table top robot companion”.

Rumoured MacBook with A18 Pro chip

Another rumour doing the rounds is that Apple may release a low cost MacBook 13” with an A18 Pro chip (over the M-series models). This may sell for around USD$599 (about $929AUD) - which we may see released towards the end of this year or early 2026. So for some basic usage, this could be a very good entry level laptop. Something to keep an eye on over the rest of this year.

Apple iPhone 17 Pro just a few weeks away - top rumoured features

With Apple set to update the iPhone 17 Pro in early September, the top 4 rumoured features we may see are 12GB of RAM, up to 8x Optical Zoom, Anti-Reflective display and  Video Recording enhancements.

Only need to wait a couple of weeks and then we should see it announced. Due around the 9th September.

iOS26 - What to expect from the new Liquid Glass redesign

With iOS26 only a month away from release, one of the major redesign’s across all the software is the new “Liquid Glass” redesign - one of the biggest changes we’ve seen in a long time. To get a better idea of some of these design changes MacRumors has done a good article showcasing some of these design changes.
