Apple “Unleashed” event “Unleashed” - New models

Apple just had their “Unleashed” event mid this month, and we’ve seen some big changes to their laptop range.

The MacBook Pro 16” has joined the M-series of chips. It was released with a new M1 Pro or M1 Max chip. We also saw them release a new MacBook Pro with a 14” screen. As it’s their Pro range we also saw some good improvements to processor, RAM and drive options. And a redesigned look and feel to the laptop. The 14” starts from A$2999 and the 16” starting from A$3749.

You can read more about the models here.

We saw updated AirPods which are now Generation 3. Based on the AirPod Pro design and adding Spatial Audio. For only A$279 You can read about it here.

Apple also added some colours to the HomePod mini range - now available in Yellow, Orange and Blue to join Space Grey and White. View the range here.

And lastly Apple Music added a cheaper option plan called “Voice Plan” - which now means it starts from $5.99 per month. Read about it here

Be aware of “Fake webpages” advising you need to update.

So there is a bit of a rise on the number of webpages or fake links that will try to trick you into calling a number or clicking a link to “update” some piece of software.

I’ve written a page with a bit more info on it here
